Comments:
This candle uses a dogwood flower as the form of the cross. The natural notches in the flower petals represent the wounds of Christ. The bands show the dogwood through the seasons, demonstrating life as it moves from new birth to death. Although the final band shows death, we remember that the tree does not die, but returns to life the next spring, just as we are resurrected to new life like Christ.
